Yes, legacy campaigns can be created for those who are deceased, or for those who are living. Build a well in Mali for your father’s birthday or surprise your mother by sponsoring an orphan in her name.

At this time, for legacy campaigns we are working with select, verified charity partners to guarantee quality and professional disbursement of funds. However, you can still start a campaign on LaunchGood to raise funds for any charity, it will just need to go through our normal verification and vetting process.

With our charity partners, this will vary. With Pious Projects, their typical timeframe for building a well is 60-90 days, and for building a Masjid, 6-9 months. For other partners, the funds will be utilized for the project designated in accordance with their typical usage and disbursement.

We do not create or approve legacy campaigns without permission of the individual, or their immediate family member(s). These campaigns may be sensitive and out of respect and trust for the beneficiary and our donors, we must validate the authenticity of the campaign.
